New Years Brie

I promised you New Years recipes! And here’s one of my favorites.

Granted, it’s a little…well, late, and if you’re an average human you’ve probably already got your snacks (and your life) together. But if not and by some strange chance you find yourself in need of a holiday snack, I’m certain Wal Mart is still open and they probably¬†have most of the ingredients you need.

If not… there’s always next year!

So, without further ado, here’s what you need.

1 wheel brie

1 frozen sheet of phyllo dough (or pie crust), thawed

Fruits, jams, preserves, etc., if desired

Unwrap your brie. Unroll your phyllo.

Place the brie in the center of the phyllo sheet.

Wrap like a cute little Christmas present.

Bake in a 375 degree oven until golden brown, about 15-20 minutes.

Let cool slightly.

Serve and enjoy! (Without guilt– this is a holiday, for goodness sakes!)

Bonus Shot of 2015:

This is one of our housecats. He loves to eyeball all the stray crumbs and beg for extras. He’s adorable.

Happy 2016!
